Contributors who have made substantive intellectual contributions to a paper are credited as authors. IMOS request and publish information about the contributions of each person named as having participated in a submitted study, at least for original research. Prospective authors should adhere to the journal guidelines that describe authorship/contributorship principles and good practices. Journal policies conflicts of/competing interests
Authors must declare any financial or non-financial personal circumstances or interests that could be considered to have an inappropriate influence on the presentation or interpretation of the reported research findings. Authors are asked to disclose Competing /Interests related to submitted work within the last three years. Interests outside the 3-year timeframe should be reported if they could reasonably influence the submitted work. For more information, please see the following link:

Journal policies on intellectual property
When a manuscript has been submitted for publication by the journal, authors will be requested to fill and sign the below copyright agreement to grant publisher rights to the journal. These rights include the exclusive right to publish and distribute the accepted article in all forms and media and the authority to enforce the rights in the article on behalf of an author against third parties in cases of plagiarism or copyright infringement. We recommend authors download the Copyright Agreement and Conflict of Interest Statement and confirm the ethical issues involved in the mentioned file. Afterward, the Copyright Agreement is attached to the article submitting steps.
Journal policies on post-publication corrections and retractions
If, after an investigation, there are valid concerns, the authors concerned will be contacted under their given email address and given an opportunity to address the issue. Depending on the situation, this may result in the journal implementation of the following measures, including, but not limited to
- If the article has already been published online, depending on the nature and severity of the infraction:
1- an erratum/correction may be placed with the article.
2- an editor’s note or editorial expression of concern may be placed with the article.
3- or, in severe cases, retraction of the article may occur.
The reason will be given in the published erratum/correction, editor’s note, editorial expression of concern, or retraction notice. Please note that retraction means that the article is maintained on the platform watermarked “retracted” and the explanation is provided in a note linked to the watermarked article.
- The author’s institution may be informed.
- A notice of suspected transgression of ethical standards in the peer review system may be included as part of the author’s and article’s bibliographic record.
