Purpose: Using the data envelopment analysis method to determine the most efficient companies on the Tehran Stock Exchange. Methodology: In this study, three industries- banking, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical- were studied to determine efficient companies. Then, using the ideal planning method, the investment percentage of each company's share in the portfolio is calculated. This method adds the return and share risk as model variables and with another liquidity variable to them. Findings: The results showed that after ranking the companies, their sensitivity can be analyzed by determining the weaknesses and recognizing the impact of variables to increase the efficiency of companies. Originality/Value: Using the portfolio of efficient companies for investment leads to reducing investment risk and choosing the right portfolio.

Purpose: Choosing a set of suppliers is critical to the success of organizations. Effective selection and evaluation of suppliers is an essential responsibility that purchasing managers should always consider. The criticality of supplier selection is due to its effects on elements related to the end products of organizations. Suppliers are a vital part of an organization that can significantly impact an organization's performance. Methodology: In this study, a data set containing the specifications of 18 suppliers. First, the performance of suppliers is calculated from both optimistic and pessimistic perspectives in the presence of undesirable outputs and inaccurate data, and the interval ranking method is used to identify the supplier with the best performance. Findings: The results showed that the traditional DEA method measures only the best relative efficiency of a group of decision-making units while avoiding pessimistic performance. The DEA method for dual boundaries was used to use DEA best and avoid complex mental calculations. Originality/Value: This paper uses interval ranking and data envelopment analysis with dual boundaries in the presence of undesirable outputs and inaccurate data. In this paper, it is suggested that the calculation of overall efficiency and ranking of suppliers in the model proposed by Azizi et al. (2016) integrate both performance in the form of an interval and the overall efficiency and ranking of units based on Hosseinzadeh et al. (2018) ranking method.

Purpose: The global economy has shifted from being resource-based to knowledge-based. Leading organizations create more value-added and long-term competitive advantage by managing their intellectual assets more than ever. Knowledge management is one of the most common processes through which an organization generates wealth from its knowledge and intellectual capital. Knowledge management empowers innovation. On the other hand, today, knowledge is the only reliable source for creating sustainable competitive advantage in organizations. The present research evaluates organizational maturity using knowledge management through data envelopment analysis. Methodology: The present research is goal-oriented, applied, and developmental. The population consists of 6 organizational units of the studied company. The theoretical framework of the research is derived from the Tark Zade (0212) knowledge management maturity model. The input, total component of the knowledge management maturity model, and the maturity level indicator are calculated. Lingoes software was used for data analysis. An input-oriented data envelopment analysis model was used to determine the highest efficiency ratio and to intervene in the optimal weighting of inputs and outputs of other decision-making units for the unit under study. Findings: Based on the study results, it is expected that the level of organizational knowledge management maturity can be significantly enhanced by providing control measures. The most critical control solutions include training, organizational and individual learning, knowledge sharing, innovation, and formulating a knowledge vision and strategy to guide knowledge management initiatives. Originality/Value: Combining these two sets of knowledge management and organizational maturity helps organizations increase the effectiveness of their processes and identify critical issues.

Purpose: Cost efficiency evaluation in a network system using data envelopment analysis models can be improved from various aspects in real-world applications. This study aims to consider a specific set of weights for cost-efficiency assessment in a two-stage network system. Methodology: Using the data envelopment analysis technique, we tried to provide a model for the cost evaluation of a network system. Findings: Considering the relations among different stages in a network system can directly affect the obtained results. This issue is investigated from cost efficiency evaluation. Considering the set of weights from various aspects can affect the obtained scores. Originality/Value: According to the models and methods in the DEA literature, a model is presented to consider cost efficiency in a two-stage DEA model in this study.

Purpose: This paper aims to assess the efficiency of existing companies in Iran's insurance industry and its relationship with essential profitability ratios. Therefore, with the help of input-axis and output-axis approaches, the performance of the companies was investigated, and the relationship between profitability and efficiency was studied using Tobit's regression model. Methodology: To achieve the answer to the above question, we selected 14 insurance companies in the capital market of Tehran as statistical samples. The data collected in 10 years between 2012 and 2018 have been considered. The hypothesis test has been performed by considering the dependent variable of dividends in different forms through Tobit and logit regression analysis. Findings: The results confirm that during the six years (2011 to 2016), the return on assets with a calculated efficiency is positively correlated with the input-oriented approach and has a negative relationship with the output-oriented approach. The results also show that the return on equity has no significant relationship with the two performance approaches. Originality/Value: In this study, considering the ratio of total liabilities, equity, and assets as input variables and income and sales, premium, and net profit as output variables, the ability to aggregate these items and translate them into one It has a single criterion called "efficiency" with two approaches.

Purpose: The present study aims to evaluate the performance of construction projects based on identified and clustered implementation barriers using data envelopment analysis.
Methodology: This research has focused on identifying the implementation barriers of civil engineering projects by examining previous studies. Identifying the implementation barriers of civil engineering projects enables assessing the importance and performance of each barrier using a two-way questionnaire during project execution. This research clustered the data collected through the two-way questionnaire. Clustering was used to facilitate solving the data envelopment analysis model. The performance evaluation of the implementation of each studied project was carried out using the data envelopment analysis method.
Findings: In this study, individual projects were evaluated using a questionnaire on implementation barriers of civil engineering projects, and efficient and inefficient projects were identified.
Originality/Value: This research can provide more comprehensive information on the performance of implementing civil engineering projects by identifying implementation barriers. With this accurate information, the success of projects can be measured against each other, and decisions can be made more efficiently to address weaknesses and strengthen strengths. This research evaluates the performance of civil engineering projects with information on the implementation barriers of these projects. Thus, performance evaluation will lead to desirable outcomes in the execution of future projects.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the impact of the financial crisis on the investment fund industry using dynamic evaluation and comparing the performance of investment funds in different years from 2012 to 2017. Value-based data envelopment analysis is used to evaluate the performance of decision-making units (investment funds) and to present changes in performance throughout the year. Methodology: In terms of classification based on the purpose of this research, the purpose of the applied type is to develop applied knowledge in a specific field. This research is of library type in terms of research design. It has been used to collect research data by referring to the information contained in historical financial statements. Also, this research is descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection and inference. Findings: The study of various models of data envelopment analysis methods and the types of inputs and outputs of data envelopment analysis methods for evaluating mutual funds have been discussed. Since the investment policies of the funds are different from each other, the tools obtained are also different from each other. Therefore, using a tool such as the data envelopment analysis method can help examine the units under study under the same conditions. One of the tools that can be used for this purpose is the data envelopment analysis method because DEA is a non-parametric method. It considers the relationship between product outputs and inputs and defines the efficiency boundary. The efficiency threshold can be viewed as a performance measure in investment analysis. Originality/Value: The issue is related to the events that have taken place in the country, which are strongly affected by the economic recession and the banking system, which mainly include sanctions and the global financial crisis and liquidity fluctuations and exchange rate fluctuations; therefore, the conclusions in this study will be potentially valuable for fund managers and investors.
